Wow! Had a wonderful stay at the end of May, lovely service and amenities, friendly staff- couldn't ask for a better experience. However, would recommend the hotel invest in some sound proofing! The room beside mine must've been having an *rgy while I was on an international business call. left me a bit embarrassed.

Paid 910 for 2 nights, they describe all the amenities online - BUT they don't mention all the limitations until you arrive. So, for the spa you can only use it for selected hours (8-10am and 5-8pm). This isn't clear anywhere when booking. And then you try to go, but the pool is drained (under maintenance) and engineers are working on the hot rooms. The staff are great and the bar area is cool, but otherwise it's pretty basic and overpriced. I feel kind of robbed, wish I had stayed somewhere else for my trip to Glasgow.

5-star for amenities not service. I visited for a wedding venue viewing, and was left waiting for 30 minutes after the scheduled appointment time. Admittedly there might have been a mix up with the confirmation of the meeting. However, that aside we were left for 30 minutes to sit in the lobby of a 5-star hotel without being checked on once by staff or offered a coffee.
When I went to reception to complain, there was no apology or really any acknowledgement that it was poor service. I mentioned that the lobby seats were cold and mentioned coffee, I was pointed to the restaurant - not walked over to it and seated. At this point we chose to leave. 5 star hotels charge a premium, as part of that premium I expect the utmost service.
You simply won't find that here. I saw guests queuing to get into the restaurant for breakfast service too, which appeared to be caused by a lack of waiting staff. I know that seems to be a minor issue, but it's a 5 star hotel, not a 3.

Mark McManus provided shocking level of service to my elderly in-laws. He got application forms wrong countless times, failed to provide updates to an extent they had to move adviser We now find out he never followed up and implemented actions that were supposed to be covered by his commission This guy took best part of 20,000 commission from a couple in their 80's then didn't provide the service DO NOT GO NEAR HIM

Been to the hotel last week, checked in everythings all good front reception and concierge were very helpful. Left the hotel and forgot a jean in the room. I then tried ringing back, very hard to get through, communicate with the staff twice for the lost items, ask to at least email me back if they find or do not find my stuff. No feedback for one week now. I only hope the hotel can response better than this.

Was gifted this as a surprise for my birthday by my boyfriend but didn't seem like a 5 star experience as we hoped for! The room was quite bare, bathroom was dirty with ring stains from glasses on countertop and had no amenities like hand soap, toothbrushes instead you had to ask for everything. When we tried to order room service as it said available from 10pm, we were told it wasn't possible due to covid guidelines.
Also boyfriend said he tried to add extras for the room for my birthday such as rose petals, strawberries & Prosecco but it wasn't carried out when we entered the room to which he was disappointed as this is what he asked for. Overall we had a pleasant experience, staff were friendly as well as using the spa the next day as complimentary between 8-10am but for nearly 300 a night (not even including breakfast) we would expect a lot lot more!

This was the first time we stayed at the hotel. We had a great stay. The staff were outstanding, they could not be more helpful. The room was spacious, and spotlessly clean with what would have been a great view of the square if not for the fog! We also went to the spa and that was very good as well. The only thing that let our stay down was the pillows.
They were far too soft for my personal liking. We were at the front of the hotel and the noise from outside was not dulled down at all, lots of shouting through the night from the street, obviously not the fault of the hotel but additional windows inside the original ones could help with this (as well as helping to retain heat in the bathroom area which was very cold, particularly overnight). Would not hesitate to stay again.

Its the 2nd time I've stayed there. The first time i had to move room because the air con did not work. This time the windows did not have any restrictiors on and the toilet seat did not lay flat. Also the in room coffee facility is poor. Its a make your own filter (nice idea) that give you about 25% of a cup.

Rooms are really nice, staff are really friendly, but not as helpful as I would expect a 5* hotel to be, the spa is nice but restricted visiting for hire guest which makes it very hard to visit the spa. It should be open later. Also some hazards in the spa like missing tiles on the floor. The in house restaurant is very nice and worth booking into. Staff in there very nice and helpful. It has the facilities of a 5* without the service, which is a shame, just need to be a bit more accommodating to their guests.
