Services
We exist to inspire you, give you confidence and the freedom to live the best life possible with your money. The cost of financial advice won't change your life but the outcomes we deliver certainly will.
Since 2000, our team of Chartered Financial Planners and highly skilled support staff have been helping clients on the Isle of Man and in the UK to manage, protect and maximise their wealth with a range of specialist services which go beyond the traditional IFA advice, and become more of a life partner setting and achieving key financial goals and objectives.
People approach us help with their Financial Planning for a variety of reasons. We've collated a few case studies here to illustrate some of the drivers behind Financial Planning. The first thing he said when we met was "I want to find my way out of this". He'd enjoyed what he did and worked extremely hard but at the age of 53 felt that it had taken its toll.
As an island business, one that has enjoyed the many benefits of living and working here, we are committed to giving back to our community and managing our business responsibly. Founder Sharon and Director Jools both have achieved success in sporting fields on and for the Isle of Man, which underpins their commitment to supporting island sport now and into the future.
If some of these thoughts have been running through your mind during the recent stock market falls, it is perfectly. Cash can be terrific fun when you're spending it on something you desperately want or enjoy doing. It's also essential. Although we're never keen to admit it, we have all made bad decisions at some point in our lives.

I don't know any other business leader who has used her time during the pandemic to communicate and inform her clients to such a good effect. I have been amused, inpsired, educated and read interviews with people who really make a difference in our World. Sharon, your calm assurance has eased my fears and kept me in contact while I have been locked down. Any personal problems have not stopped the constant warm care for your clients. Thank you, A.F

My family and I have had a personal relationship with Thorton Associates over many years. They take a keen interest in the overall growth of your family, besides financial but also guidance in our careers. We are very grateful for this long term relationship.

Moved to Thorntons after a bad experience with one of the big banks. What a breath of fresh air. They took time to understand what we wanted from life and tailored investments to match. But more that that they keep an eye on our investments, regularly review to check they are still good, suggest improvements, and they are aways happy to be called to explain the financial jargon. Their good advce has also helped me greatly increase my state pension entitlement. Good people, highly recommended!

Sharon and her colleagues are a great team who create a friendly atmosphere and are able to advise on financial matters in a easily understandable and effective way. They are also always ready to take that extra trouble and time to really help with any difficulties.
