How to prove you treat your customers fairly?

Author: Steve Smith
Release Date: January 12, 2011

Scancapture are contracted by IFA's to provide a way to evaluate their clients’ satisfaction - both to satisfy the FSA Compliance procedures; specifically the ‘Treating Customers Fairly’ (TCF) initiative and also to act as a marketing tool; specifically to gain clients’ email addresses to add to their opt-in email newsletter and as an effective lead generator for future business. The questionnaire was designed in co-operation with the IFA and has been approved by FSA Compliance experts ‘e-compli’. A ‘hidden’ gem is that this type of questionnaire will also reduce the risk of a mis-sold claim in the future as there will be evidence of TCF.

The service involves Scancapture receiving a list of clients securely each month from the IFA and issuing a standardised paper questionnaire to them for completion at home. The questionnaire is designed to be easy to complete in order to boost the response. Completed questionnaires are sent directly back to Scancapture in a pre-paid envelope. Scancapture then process the data, flag up any “hot” leads on the day it’s received and produce clear, useful management results at an agreed stage.

Questionnaires can be sent as a one-off, annually, bi-annually, quarterly or monthly. Minimum volumes are ideally 50 per batch (so 50 a year down to 50 a month). The all-inclusive cost is just £1 per questionnaire sent out and will work for the majority of IFA’s, brokers and advisers because:

1. It satisfies TCF requirements and is fully FSA Compliant!

2. It can generate leads and ultimately more business!

3. Its easy to arrange as it’s all set up and ready to go!

4. Its cheap!
